One of the most fun ways to get a peek into another person’s life is to experience their city like a local would -- with a homebase in a their space. LifeSwap takes the fun of living how a stranger does one step further. We’ve teamed up with AirBnB to give you a taste of what it’s like to step into someone else’s shoes. We can safely say that this is the best giveaway of any SXSW party around.
Day 4 is about the word on every marketer’s mouth. Everyone’s focusing on it, but it’s not a focused word. What does it mean exactly? Why does it matter? And how do we do it right? Attend small group workshops about mobile ads, mobile responsive site and mobile app development. Learn about the rapid rise of mobile browsing (and what that means to us) in our interactive globe installation. And hear from Ruth McCarthy, Founder of Mobili Media, about how to get caught up -- and then get ahead.
Play My Twice started with Virginia's vision of "bluish purple songs with silver-gold shimmers". The accomplished singer-songwriter blends honest lyrics and indie folk/pop styles with subtle world grooves; sometimes singly high and ethereal, sometimes her voice reaches low and sensual but always singing authentically, present to her audience.
Virginia’s inspiration behind this album was “exploring how vulnerable and intimate can I get.” The album is a poetic ode to life; a confessional landscape of lyrics and shimmering sounds. Listeners are invited to walk into this world with Virginia as she releases the audiovisual album in a series of music videos shot live during the recording sessions at Studio 42 with producer and collaborator Alessio Romano and even have their questions about Play Me Twice answered in the accompanying podcast via social media or texting her music phone directly at: +1-917-746-0723.
Following the release of her self-titled debut EP in 2014, Lily Virginia has explored her artistic vulnerability with unapologetic force for live audiences throughout the U.S. Playing at venues including NYC's BAM, Rockwood Music Hall, Highline Ballroom, and beyond in California, Boston's Club Passim, Philadelphia's World Cafe Live, Austin's SXSW and even Puerto Rico, Ms. Virginia sings out her stories and lays herself bare.
